Culture and educationIn Zambia, together with the Zambian Ministry of Education, we conduct conservation education workshops in different primary and secondary schools. Although the younger population does not usually cause serious problems in terms of poaching, they do have a role in human-animal conflict and in the protection of their natural resources. It is therefore essential to develop educational programs, born from and for the local population, that take place in different social and educational centers and that contribute to generate a positive change in the collective conscience.

Prevention and mitigation of poachingwe collaborate with local authorities in activities against poaching. On a weekly basis we remove wire snares located in National Parks.

This form of poaching, prohibited by law, generates a great impact because it is not selective and remains active for years in protected areas. If not removed, the snares lead to the death of many animals, often species that are not intentionally targeted. In addition, this contributes to the spread of diseases and biological agents through the distribution of food without food safety.

Ecosystem maintenance: Non-degradable waste dumped in natural areas attracts animals due to their odors, flavors and colors, causing frequent accidents and deaths among them. Its collection is essential to avoid this problem, as well as the dissemination and maintenance of dirt, diseases and pests, in addition to the occurrence of fires. We carry out periodic raids to remove these residues from sensitive areas.

Sports and healthy habits: we develop a sports program, both in schools and educational institutions, as well as in rural and local communities. These activities involve people of all ages and conditions and are one of the most rewarding and constructive activities, from a playful aspect, which in any case allows us to generate that positive awareness about life habits and healthy alternatives.
